Sprouts Is Opening in Hartsdale This Week

Because natural health food store dreams really do come true. 😂

If you’ve been around here for a while, you probably know I have a thing for health food stores.

So I have to tell you a funny story...

A few years ago, I was visiting California and walked into a store I’d never seen on the East Coast: Sprouts. I loved it immediately. It had all the premium health food brands I love, alongside affordable everyday staples, with lots of options at different price points. It felt like you could do your entire grocery shopping there.

…And then I discovered their lip balm. It was Sprouts brand, and it instantly became my favorite. I bought ten before I left California. Eventually, my stash started running low. A friend who lived near a Sprouts offered to mail me some, which she did for a while—until she moved.

So, naturally, I looked up whether Sprouts had made its way to the East Coast. There were locations in South Jersey, but I did the girl math and decided that asking my husband to drive to South Jersey for lip balm was probably not worth sacrificing my marriage.

So I asked ChatGPT if there were plans to open a Sprouts closer to Westchester. It said yes. Hartsdale. And I immediately responded, “This is no time to be telling me what I want to hear, ChatGPT. Lip balm is at stake!” I made it give me the sources. And lo and behold… it was true. I’ve been watching the construction throughout the year, and this week, it’s finally happening.

The new Sprouts Farmers Market is finally opening in Hartsdale in the Dalewoods Plaza!

The grand opening is Friday, September 4 through Sunday, September 6, with freebies, samples, a scavenger hunt and special offers throughout the weekend.

One of the things I love about wellness is that it doesn’t always have to be a big production. Sometimes it’s a yoga class or a massage. Sometimes it’s a walk in the woods. Sometimes it’s discovering a new local business that makes healthy choices just a little easier. And sometimes, apparently, it’s finally getting your favorite lip balm within driving distance.

Natural health food store dreams really do come true.
