About Westchester Wellness Guide

Just a mom on a quest to find wellness in Westchester.

“Wellness is not a luxury, it’s our birthright.”

Westchester Wellness Guide is a local guide to finding meaningful wellness experiences for every budget throughout Westchester County, NY—and building community along the way.

The idea began back in 2009, when I created Catskills Wellness Guide to share the places and experiences that inspired me upstate. Years later, after moving to White Plains with my husband and daughter, I found myself exploring a new landscape with that same curiosity. On February 26, 2023, I shared my first Westchester find.

I created this space because I was craving something beyond the noise of social media—a place to slow down, look a little closer, and discover the authentic people, places, and experiences that support our wellbeing here in our county.

From farmers markets and healthy local eats to yoga studios, wellness practitioners, health food stores, massage, trails, parks, and quiet corners of nature, I’m always looking for the next discovery. Because I believe wellness doesn’t have to mean an exotic retreat or a luxury spa escape. Sometimes it’s a beautiful walk, a nourishing meal, an hour on a yoga mat, or finding someone in your own community who helps you feel a little more like yourself.

And I don’t want to do the discovering alone. This guide is about building community along the way—sharing what I find and learning from what you find, too. It means so much to have you here, to subscribe, to comment, and to share your own favorite places and experiences. Tell me who your favorite massage therapist is. Where do you go for the best mani-pedi that doesn’t wreck your nails? Which farmers market should I be exploring? Where have you found a little pocket of peace? Do share. I’m always looking for the next good thing.

Thank you for being here,
Paulina
